Enigin Show Us The Light

100W and frosted incandescent light bulbs have just been banned in the EU, after an odd 200 years of service.
The attempt to curb climate change is the source of this EU initiative. Energy efficient fluorescent or halogen lighting is up to 80% more efficient than its incandescent counterpart, which should be totally replaced by 2012.
The legislation also encompasses minimum standards for efficient commercial and industrial lighting. Enigin PLC energy efficiency specialists exist to supply businesses with personalised solutions to become energy efficient and comply with new governmental standards.
Incandescent light bulbs should also be banned in other countries in the near future, including the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the Philippines.
Incandescent light bulbs waste incredible amounts of electricity because only 10-20% of the energy sourced is actually turned into light. The remaining 80-90% is converted into heat! The generated heat will then make air conditioning units work harder to cool the temperature down, which again wastes energy. All these factors contribute to making energy bills so high.
Today, an energy-efficient lighting technology is giving businesses the opportunity to save energy and therefore reduce their energy bills. The efficient and intelligent LESS lighting system from Enigin PLC saves companies around 70% or more on their lighting costs.
Enigin provide businesses worldwide with the best energy efficient solutions, not only for lighting, but also for air conditioning, refrigeration and motors. By saving money using Enigin PLC's energy efficient products, businesses are also enhancing their green image and actively contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions.
