Enigin News - Northern India Industry Encouraged to become Energy Efficient

ON Friday a team from India’s Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) visited Baddi, an industrial town 40 kilometers east of Chandigarh in the very north of India, to help with operating costs through energy efficiency.
The team members visited the town to network with and acquaint the local industrialists on the various schemes the BEE has in place for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and to enhance their competitiveness by, amongst other things, improving energy usage.
YS Guleria, convenor of the CII's Himachal Pradesh skills development panel stated that large numbers of SMEs were located in clusters with large potential for energy savings within each cluster of businesses.
The aim of the project is to guide participating companies towards achieving excellence in the energy efficiency of their business operations.
Guleria emphasised that energy efficiency is one of the key areas where CII’s Cluster approach can help SMEs enhance their competitiveness by reducing or cutting out energy losses.
Enigin Distributors in India can use their know-how and the solutions from Enigin to help industry make substantial savings in energy and hence money.
