Energy Efficiency Solution Providers in South America see a boost

Energy efficiency solution providers are set to see a boost from a new focus on energy efficiency in Latin America, according to a BNamericas.com Energy Intelligence Series on energy efficiency across the continent.

The report says there will be an increase in demand for efficient lighting technologies, industrial electric motors and controls and other energy saving equipment, many of these technologies are available from local Enigin Distributors.

While the biggest barrier to energy efficiency programs in the region is the extreme level of energy subsidies, especially in Venezuela and Argentina, the sector is seeing renewed interest because of supply problems being triggered by the El Niño weather pattern.

The web site also reports that there is government money available in some countries.
