2010 The Year For Energy Efficiency With Enigin

A report in the Silicon Valley Mercury News has highlighted that 2010 is the year to invest in energy efficiency companies.

Whether you are looking to make an investment or not, it does highlight that energy efficiency is going to grow this year and over the foreseeable future.

The report highlights how energy efficiency is proving a better choice than alternative energy sources for many businesses and buildings.

Solar Power and wind turbines designed for smaller sites are proving to be a poorer return on investment.

The report states:

“Energy efficiency generally covers a wide range of technologies that are designed to cut energy use such as improved lighting, greener building materials and sophisticated software that monitors power consumption, such as Eniscope and it's related software.”

Enigin’s Eniscope and related software fits very well into this picture. The Eniscope is a real-time energy monitor and allied with it’s powerful software means that energy efficiency can be implemented to achieve the best results in any given scenario.

Rob Coneybeer of Shasta Ventures is quoted in the article as saying:

"Energy efficiency is very capital-efficient. We like the idea of people using IT to measure, monitor and improve their energy usage."

Again, it makes you wonder if they have been studying Enigin’s solutions for intelligent energy savings and efficiencies!

The article also quotes Kevin Surace, CEO of Serious Materials, who manufacture energy efficient units and materials, and his words highlight the fiscal sense of energy efficiency:

“When you really break it down, every dollar spent on energy efficiency pays back the investment four or five times. It saves people money and creates jobs. And it has bipartisan support."

So whether you are investing in an energy efficiency company or investing in energy efficency for your company the article clearly shows it makes good business sense.
